Hello! My name is Shawn Alleman, owner and operator of Ship Shape Detailing. I started the company in March of 2015 after my wife and I moved from Wilmington, North Carolina back home to Baltimore to raise our daughter closer to loved ones. From the restaurant industry to law enforcement and now boat and yacht detailing, I consider myself fortunate to have been able to serve others my entire working career. Starting Ship Shape Detailing allowed me to combine my service-minded mentality with my love for boating, and fulfilled my decade-old desire to be a small business owner.

My entrepreneurial aspirations began in early 2005 when I started working for a high-end detailer, servicing some of the largest and most respected marinas and boat dealers in the greater Baltimore-Washington area. Through that experience I realized two things: 1. Life’s too short to not be on the water and 2. One day I would own my own boat detailing company.

For me, it has always been about making sure my clients can make the most of their time on the water because they know at the end of the day they have a trustworthy, reliable, full-service detailer ready to make it shine, every time!

• Prior to boat detailing, I was a police officer in Wilmington, North Carolina.
• In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family either on the water or camping. 
• My wife and I are high school sweet hearts.
